My client is a well established machine tool designer and manufacturer. They currently require a Senior Mechanical Engineer, an experienced CAD Design Engineer with some good grounding in parametric modelling to join the design office. You will be responsible for the research, design, and will be using 3D Cad packages (Inventor 2010). Experience of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and coolant system are needed. Role: - 1. 3D Modelling and Draughting on Autodesk Inventor 2010 creating drawings of sheet metal, fabricated metal components and castings. 2. Updating the 3D Drawing database to standardise drawings where possible. 3. Calculating forces (inertia, torque, etc.). 4. Produce design solutions that meet customer and internal requirements, readily reproducible and conform to safety and other legal requirements. 5. Preparation of production documentation, drawings, bills of material. 6. Liaison with shop floor staff, design engineers, sales team and suppliers. 7. Ability to work in a demanding environment providing accurate and timely output to a high standard. Essential Skills: 1. A strong background in 3D Cad Design, FEA, geometric and dimensional tolerances 2. Experience in machine tools design / special purpose machinery. 3. Experience in selecting motors, calculate inertia, torque. 4. Knowledge of coolant tank design is beneficial. 5. Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is essential 6. They currently seek to recruit an experienced and proven Technical Sales Manager. You will prepare and submit offers with the back up of the Proposal Department for primary and secondary projects. Assist in the definition of the right strategy for each project. Develop relationships with local partners when necessary. Negotiate both technically and commercially with the customer up to the award of the contract. Create high quality relationships with your customer contacts. Principle responsibilities: - Participate with the Commercial Department in identifying potential projects and position the company well in advance of the decisions (with the support of the Purchasing Team), to win the orders. With the support of the Proposal Group Manager and his team, develop solutions and prepare the corresponding key proposal documents. My client is a very well established and reputable manufacturing company supplying a wide variety of industries including the Aerospace sector. They are currently recruiting experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians for their Forge Department. Working continental 4 on / 4 off shifts the role requires a skill base that includes either electrical or mechanical maintenance and problem-solving skills, together with metal manufacturing technical knowledge and experience. Ideally you will be a person who has received formal training in electrical or mechanical maintenance disciplines [e.g. an apprenticeship, or equivalent structured training programme, [fully or partly completed] with previous experience of working within a similar environment. Competence working with heavy machinery and the ability to safely operate a fork lift truck (although FLT training will be given) is also a requirement of this role. Successful applicants must be conversant with a Total Planned Maintenance [TPM] approach; drive and control systems and have a good understanding and working knowledge of current safe working practices. There is an emphasis on breakdown elimination, problem solving together with preventative and non-intrusive maintenance. The incumbent will have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture, which will include individual project ownership.

My client is a well established and successful engineering and manufacturing company, a market leader supplying the automotive industry. They are currently looking for a qualified and experienced CMM Programmer to be responsible for running two CMMs, which are Hexagon DEA7105 machines running on PCDMIS 4.3. The role will include evaluation and approval of supplier PPAPS. The successful candidate must have: - Experience in CNC CMMs. Be able to programme directly from drawings and CAD models. Knowledge and experience of GD&T. Working to tolerances less than 10 microns. Supplier PPAP experience. Experience of PCDMIS software is preferred but not essential. The applicant must be able to work on their own initiative and also work well in a cross functional team environment. You need to be of an outgoing nature, adaptable and a quick learner. The successful person needs to be a self starter who can 'hit the ground running'. Holidays are 25 days per annum, plus 8 statutory holidays, which are pooled together to give prescribed shut downs of 28 days and 5 floating days. They offer a discretionary quarterly bonus based on the overall company performance as well as a stakeholder pension scheme with employer contributions of 2% of annual salary (for first two years of service) rising to 4.7% thereafter. This is a 39 hour contract with hours of work Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
